WOW What an honour!
I had a lovely email inviting me to be a Dragon for the day at a charity Dragon’s Den. The idea was to offer some time to those charities that we felt we could support. The setting was The British Ironworks at Oswestry in one of their beautiful meeting rooms.
The charities were all very note worthy but two that struck a chord with me were Cedar Education and Headway. Judith from Cedar Education teaches children in particular to talk about death. She spoke of how she also takes her business into the corporate world and we are meeting to discuss her Intellectual Property. Debbie from Headway presented on their proposed expansion. Headway work with adults who have acquired brain injuries. The new build that they are fundraising for will have a residential facility too but requires nearly £2m. I have already had a meeting to discuss how Evanji can support them. This is a charity very close to my heart as they were started in 1989..the year that I experienced a head injury that has shaped my learning and and aspects of my life since.
